Farm Supervisor (Small-Scale Farm)

Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise land clearance and general farm preparation activities.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily farm operations (crop production and/or livestock care).
• Develop and implement planting, irrigation, fertilisation, and harvesting schedules.
• Monitor livestock health, feeding, and breeding programmes.
• Manage farm workers, including attendance, performance, and task allocation.
• Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of farm equipment and tools.
• Maintain accurate farm records (production, inputs, stock, and sales).
• Enforce health and safety standards on the farm.
• Provide regular updates and reports to the farm owner/manager on operations and challenges.

Skills/Tags

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Certificate in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in farm supervision or a similar role.
• Practical knowledge of crop and/or livestock management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on-site.
• Valid driver’s licence.
