Job Description

Applications are invited for the Production Supervisor position that has arisen within Baker's Inn Retail - Northern Region, Harare. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring quality and maximum output. The role requires full responsibility for managing production processes, staff, and compliance with company standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure all machinery and equipment are operational before each shift and report defects.
  • Confirm availability of utilities and raw materials prior to production.
  • Manage shift staff attendance, performance, and discipline.
  • Monitor production output and ensure targets and timelines are met.
  • Control raw material usage and reconcile against expected yields.
  • Prepare and submit daily production and waste reports.
  • Maintain clean-as-you-go practices and ensure proper end-of-shift cleaning.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, labour laws, and SOPs.
  • Identify training needs and support performance management of the team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate or Diploma in Baking Technology, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory role within a production environment.
  • At least 5 O' Level subjects including Mathematics and English.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, yield control, and quality standards.
  • Good communication and team coordination skills.
