Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maximise editorial coverage through special stories feature pieces and profile stories.
• Maintain communication with media outlets to promote the Corporation’s mission activities and accomplishments.
• Draft responses to enquiries from the public the press and related organisations.
• Organise press trips and accompany journalists on event activations.
• Utilise all forms of media to build maintain and manage the Corporation’s image.
• Draft and design in house magazines newsletters press releases brochures speeches websites and social media content.
• Coordinate all advertisements.
• Identify interpret and capture key online and offline conversations about the Corporation.
• Support corporate social responsibility events.
• Organise promotional events such as press conferences exhibitions tours and visits.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the superior.

Skills/Tags

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Public Relations Communications Journalism Marketing or related field.
• MBA or relevant Masters degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role with media and crisis management exposure.
• Professional qualification from MAZ or IPRCZ is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of design tools such as InDesign CorelDraw and Photoshop.
• Clean Class 4 Drivers Licence.
• Good command of English.
• Strong writing and editorial skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Initiative and creativity.
• Ability to prioritise and plan effectively.
