Job Description
HCCL Holdings, a local diversified mid-tier company with business interests in mining, real estate, healthcare, energy, agriculture and financial services, is seeking a Solar Technician under Hwange Lubimbi operations. The role involves installation, maintenance and commissioning of solar PV systems while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Install and commission solar PV systems including modules inverters batteries and controllers.
- Perform DC and AC wiring earthing and lightning protection in line with ZETDC standards.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance fault diagnosis and system upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations EMA requirements and company procedures.
- Prepare technical reports update schematics and maintain accurate records.
- Provide client training and respond to service calls.
- Maintain inventory records of tools equipment and materials.

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 O Level passes including English Mathematics and Science.
- National Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy.
- Class 1 Skilled Worker certification is preferred.
- Valid ZERA Electrical Worker License with Solar PV competency.
- 2 to 3 years experience in solar PV installation.
- Mature individual aged 30 years and above with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Clean criminal record.
