Job Description

Zimnat Group is inviting applications for the position of Software Development Assistant on a fixed term contract of nine months. The organisation is a diversified financial services provider offering integrated solutions for wealth creation, management and protection. The role is suited for candidates passionate about technology, innovation, and building practical software development skills in a collaborative environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in designing coding testing and deploying software applications.
Contribute to system maintenance troubleshooting and debugging.
Participate in Agile development processes including sprints and standups.
Support integration of applications with internal and external systems.
Prepare technical documentation for systems modules and enhancements.
Support deployment processes and assist in maintaining production environments.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering Computer Science Information Systems or related field.
Strong foundation in programming languages such as JavaScript PHP.
Python or similar with good understanding of object oriented programming.
Familiarity with databases such as MySQL SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
Exposure to modern software engineering practices including clean code modular architecture and basic DevOps concepts such as CI CD pipelines or containerisation like Docker is an added advantage.
Understanding of API development and system integration.
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
