Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide the perfect service to every customer (student, staff, or guest).
• Ensure the customer feels important and welcome in the dining halls.
• Ensure hot food is hot and cold food is cold.
• Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and other services.
• Serve all customers in an accommodating manner.
• Maintain a clean and organised service area.
• Comply with health and hygienic policies and procedures.
• Practice laid down handover and takeover procedures.
• Lock all exit and entrance points before knock-off time.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Skills/Tags

Qualifications & Experience

• Five (5) Ordinary level subjects, including English Language.
• Hotel and catering certificate / professional cookery certificate.
• Diploma in hotel and catering / Diploma in professional cookery is an added advantage.
• At least two (2) years of proven history in the catering field.
• Interpersonal skills and abilities.
• Must be a team player.
• Commitment to accommodating customers’ needs.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Ability to take criticism.
• Consistently professional appearance.
• Trustworthy, energetic, and punctual.
• Dedication to always performing at one’s best.
• Patience and good communication skills.
