Job Description

This is a senior and critical position responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Council's Human Resources section. The role is highly challenging and demanding and involves overseeing all HR functions within the organisation.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide support services in human resources planning recruitment selection training and development compensation administration benefits and HR systems.
  • Formulate and review HR policies procedures and practices.
  • Monitor departmental performance to ensure compliance with HR policies.
  • Contribute to overall human resources management strategy.
  • Coordinate submission of reports to relevant departments and agencies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Human Resources Labour Relations or Social Sciences with HR bias.
  • Diploma in Personnel Management (IPMZ).
  • Postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
  • At least 5 years HR management experience in a middle management. role preferably in local government
  • Sound knowledge of the Labour Act and related legislation.
  • Membership of IPMZ is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of local government systems is an added advantage.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Clean Class 4 Driver's License.
